|
MTNA Certification |
| Teacher members enhance their skills and earn valuable recognition of their professional ability through MTNA's national certification program. An eight-member National Certification Board oversees the program and grants certification to applicants, who obtain the qualifications necessary through a college-level degree--or a series of examinations administered and evaluated by MTNA--as well as an evaluation of videotaped teaching and examination of studio policies. Certified members pursue further education and training to renew their teacher certificate at five-year intervals. MTNA certification is a path to recognition and promotion of the highest standards of music teaching. |
