Spring 2010 Newsletter posted Mar 14, 2010

  Dear Charlotte MTA Members,

Many thanks to Alisha Brown for her tireless efforts in coordinating the NCMTA Charlotte District Piano Contest-Festival!  Congratulations to those of you whose students received Superior ratings at last weekend’s NCMTA Charlotte District Piano Contest-Festival – and good luck to those students as they play in the NCMTA State-West Piano Contest-Festival on March 27 at Queens University.  Please say “yes” when State-West Contest-Festival chairman Tina Brown asks for your help on that day.

The MTNA National Conference begins next week – it runs March 20-24 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Several NCMTA members will be in attendance and I look forward to hearing details of the conference from them.

CMTA Student Musician Certification materials are due by March 31 to chairman Sue Dorsett.  Teachers with students registered for this program received an email reminder from Sue earlier this week.  If you are not currently participating in this program and would like further information, please contact Sue Dorsett at suedorsett@att.net or 704-541-4776.
